Here’s a basic overview of our Registration process

  • Step 1: Do the Registration Form - Fill out a “Registration Request Form” online. Forms usually go live in April for the following summer. Sign up for our Camp Bulletin to receive an email with a link as soon as it’s available. Once you click “Submit” you should get a confirmation message that the form went through. This is not a confirmation of your camper’s spot at camp yet.

    • Notifications about the form going live are sent to past campers first, so they get first chance, but we do not “hold spots” for anyone.

    • We will never turn a camper away because they can’t pay! If you need to ask for a sliding scale or payment plan, there is a place on the Registration Form to do that. Please don’t hesitate to ask for assistance.

  • Step 2: Registration Team Will Call You - This part can take a few days or more, especially right when registration opens, and we get a lot of forms at once. Our registration team will call the phone number you provide to confirm eligibility, clarify anything we need to know, and confirm your spot at camp.

  • Step 3: Payment - After confirming your info and your spot, the Registrar will send you a link to a payment page, so you can pay for the full price of camp, pay your sliding scale rate, or make a payment on a scheduled payment plan.

  • Watch for Information Requests - In the month before camp you may be asked in an email to provide vaccination proof, or answer other questions specific to your camper.

  • What to Bring Letter - In the weeks before camp we will send out a letter or email letting you know what campers should and should not bring to camp as well as the balance of payment you own and any other info we are missing. You can check out the What to Bring list now if you are curious, though there might be small changes each summer.

  • Talk to Your Carpool Buddy - We don’t have our own camp shuttle, but we do help arrange carpools. If you need a ride or can give a ride, we will connect you with a carpool buddy in the same town. Once you get their phone number, please contact them and confirm when and where pick up needs to happen. There’s detailed Directions and Maps to Mattole Camp here.

If you have any other questions, please check out all the pages here in “Questions & Answers” in the side bar on this page or contact camp staff.
We are happy to talk about camp anytime!
